Skills for Growing (for NE – Year 6) and Skills for Adolescence (for Yrs 7/8/9) teacher training workshops
It is a prerequisite that all educators using our programmes undertake a training workshop. These are intensive, hands-on workshops, which can be 1-day, 1 ½ days, or 2 days. The cost of these may be subsidized by Lions Clubs in your area, and covers the training as well as the comprehensive classroom curriculum at the appropriate level for all teachers attending. Other school staff and parents are also encouraged to attend. Research shows that best results are achieved when whole schools are trained.
The Lions Quest programmes work because the primary focus is to train the teachers and caregivers of young people – the people most closely involved with them. They work because family and Whanau are also involved – through take-home materials and activities that reflect what is happening in the classroom, the playground and in the school staff room when everyone is using the Lions Quest Life Skills programmes.
For a workshop in your area, and for all other enquiries, please contact the Lions Quest representative –
