New pink bike gives mobility to young Invercargill girl

Sunday 26th February 2012

Invercargill Lions have been able to make a local girl extremely happy - and mobile!

"Marie, a physiotherapist at Southland Hospital, contacted me late January and asked for help with this," explains PDG Rodger Millar. "I asked DG Lynette Batt, who said 'go for it' so I contacted the Invercargill clubs. Two came forward and a specially adapted small bike and helmet were purchased and presented to seven-year-old Cheyanne Richards. Result - one very happy little girl and two very grateful parents."
