Lions clubs around the country on April 4 found the longest lunch relay idea to their taste, hosting hundreds of events ranging from simple club get-togethers, to outings for oldies, to information sessions over a bite to eat and a beverage.
Lions clubs around the world took part in the rolling relay, which started in New Zealand and ended at the Pacific Islands, having moved through the timezones and continents. As well as raising awareness of Lions International, the lunch was a special celebration of the birthday of Anne Palmer, wife of International President Bary Palmer.
Rotorua Sulphur City Lions Club chose the information option for their lunch. Click here to read more.
