This weekend saw nine intrepid members of the Johnsonville Lions Club, take on the challenge of attending this year's national Lions Clubs convention in Invercargill.

In recognition of a former member, the Johnsonville Lions Club members entered a committed team (the fourth year in a row), into the Wellington Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

I had no idea what I was letting myself in for, as I headed off to Frank Kitts Park to take part in the Johnsonville Lions Club's team for the Relay for Life. I knew it was for a good cause, so had no hesitation volunteering.

What an amazing and humbling experience!  Over a period of 4 hours on Thursday afternoon 12^th May the Lions Club of Johnsonville hosted a periodic workshop for the adjustment of Hart Walkers, restoring mobility to five young boys.
