We live in a world where negative news bullies its way into local, national and international headlines in print, radio and television. But this is not necessarily a truthful reflection of our society.

Increasingly there is a strong surge of interest by ordinary, everyday Kiwis to contribute positively to society. Businesses recognise the importance of voluntary work by giving staff time off from their normal duties to do unpaid community work.

As a bonus to joining a team wanting to make their world a better place, Lions also offer networking, social outings, friendships and an ability to integrate into new communities for people changing their location or their country.
