In a project that has taken more than a year, we are pleased to have the finshed products of two GIANT carved Picnic Table installed at the Orewa Beach Reserve.

This is our 100 year Centanary gift back to the people of Orewa.

The wood was sourced from Northland Kauri and the carvers at Nga Wha prison built the seats and carved the designs.  Local Council arranged for the installation and the Orewa Lions Club will maintain the benched into the future.

Funds came from various projects over the last tweleve months and each table cost around $2,000.

These will be a great asset for our Community and should give many familes pleasure to come for many years.
