Fiji Lions provide help after Cyclone Evan

Lions in Fiji have distributed many thousands of dollars worth of food, water and tarpaulins to people affected by tropical cyclone Evan. They have also requested assistance from New Zealand Lions for donations for school-related expenses.

A total of 86 schools and close to 6000 homes were partially or completely destroyed by cyclone Evan. The damage bill for schools has been pegged at close to $5million and rising, while the cost to residential structures has yet to be ascertained. Read more
