2011 Young Speechmaker Competition

The 2011 Lions Young Speechmaker contest was held in Napier on Saturday 21 August. The winner was Sean Hand from St Kevin’s College, Oamaru, sponsored by the Lions Club of Waiareka Valley. Sean will be winging his way to Canada and USA as part of his prize. Jordan Simmonds from Cambridge High School, sponsored by the Lions Club of Cambridge was second and will be on his way to Australia at Christmas time.  Stella McMullen from Napier Girls High School, sponsored by the Spirit of Napier Lions Club, was placed third and will be on her way to the Lions International Youth Camp at Lake Okataina.
