18 months ago Steph Beddis won a $10,000 grant from economist Gareth Morgan for being New Zealand’s hardest working nurse. With Silverstream Lions support she’s turned the grant into $100,000 of cash and voluntary time to transform Hutt Hospital’s paediatric emergency department into a native wonderland of wall-to-wall bush, native animals and a model train to distract hurt and sick children.  Read More.
