Feilding Kowhai Lions Club is proud to be one of four Lions Clubs in Feilding. We are a women's club with 29 members whose ages range in age from the late 30s to the mid-70s.
The occupations of those who are in full-time or part-time work cover a broad spectrum including, teaching, farming, health, finance, tourism, industry and commerce. We also have a number of members who are retired.
Many of our members also enjoy a wide range of hobbies such as dancing, walking, embroidery, photography and gardening. Family commitments are always seen by Lions as a priority.
It is not uncommon for our members to also be involved in other areas of community support such as support of refugees.
The Club has two regular meetings each month.
A Dinner Meeting held, at 6.00pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month KR's Cafe Feilding. The first part of the evening is a time for fellowship and fun. Following the 6.30 meal there is often a speaker who may come from one of the groups or organizations we support.
We get down to business on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Salvation Army Rooms 124 Manchester Street, Feilding.
Our club is involved in service and social activities of a wide nature including:
